Tucepi is a small but beautiful holiday resort 50 miles south of Split Airport on the Adriatic coast of Croatia. It is distinguished by the most beautiful and longest gravel beach of the Makarska Riviera, a pine wood, olive-groves, luxury hotels, beautiful houses and sports grounds. The dramatic mountain of Biokovo is located in the northern border of the village. The Tucepi area is rich in natural water springs allowing terraced gardens, vineyards and olive-groves to flourish. The coastal slopes are dotted with villages built in traditional Mediterranean style and the signs of an early habitation, such as the impressive tumulus - the burial mounds of prehistoric people.
